This award recognizes outstanding work done by a Corporate Secretary, who has demonstrated excellence in not just company secretarial work but also in other related areas.
Special consideration will be given to individuals who have not only enhanced company secretaryship and governance in their own organizations but whose contributions will be able to either have an impact beyond their organisation or can be applied across an international platform.
This award will recognise outstanding work done by an up-and-coming Corporate Secretary with at least 5 years of professional experience in company secretarial work and is 35 years of age or below. Nominees should demonstrate excellence in not just company secretarial work but also in other related areas.
Nominees for this award should demonstrate qualities of being pro-active – in the ability to respond to change, identifying and managing challenges, opportunities and risks and unlocking the value of digital transformation. The individual should have shown outstanding professional development and progression through the ranks and have made valuable contributions to the Board.
The nominees in this category will have demonstrated outstanding performance in initiating and driving good governance practices in his or her organisation.
The governance professional will be a champion in managing complex new and sometimes challenging laws and regulations in a globalised environment. The individual will have made valuable contributions to the governance framework and shown exceptional leadership in developing a strong compliance culture and best practices across all internal and external stakeholders within and beyond the organisation.
Special consideration will be given to individuals who have shown exceptional performance in advancing governance and compliance activities within and beyond the organisation where they are employed.
