Ayo is a Lawyer, Chartered Company Secretary and Notary Public. He is a Certified Management Consultant, Certified Compliance Analyst, and Certified Independent Non-Executive Director. Ayo worked with Synergy Attorneys, Pan African Capital Ltd and LPC Solicitors. He thereafter joined FirstBank/FBN Holdings PLC where he served as Company Secretary for FBN Insurance Limited (now Sanlam Insurance Limited), FBN General Insurance Limited (now Sanlam General Insurance Limited), and FBN Insurance Brokers Limited (Subsidiaries of FBN Holdings PLC). He joined Berger Paints PLC as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser for Berger Paints Plc and International Breweries Plc (AB Inbev) as Company Secretary/General Counsel between 2018 and 2023. He is currently the Group Company Secretary/Head of Legal and Chief Compliance Officer of CFAO Nigeria Group – a French Multinational operating in over 40 countries. Ayo is also a Co-Founder/Director of Kaizen Academy (Nigeria) Limited, a leading consulting firm operating in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and the UK. Ayo holds a 2nd Class Upper L.L.B (Hons) degree from the University of Ibadan, an LLM from the University of South Wales (UK), an MBA from the Liverpool John Moores University (UK), an Executive Diploma in International Law & Diplomacy from Kingsland Foundation, and a Certificate in Global Governance & Diplomacy from the European School for Leadership Development. Ayo won the 2019 Nigerian Legal Awards’ “40 under 40” (ESQ Magazine), the 2022 Africa Forty Under Forty Awards (Xodus Communications/Ministry of Arts and Culture, Ghana), the 2020 Modern Governance 100 General Counsels’ award, and the 2022 Modern Governance 100 Global & Ethics Leader award (Diligent Corporation, New York). He was also listed in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist Nigeria 2024. Ayo holds Fellowships from the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria (FIMC) and the Global Academy of Finance and Management, USA. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), International Bar Association, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAN), Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN), and the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD), Nigeria.
