The Corporate Secretaries International Association Limited (CSIA) together with the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) in collaboration with EY have embarked on an important research project to explore the role of the governance professional in the fast-evolving governance and risk management landscape within the organisations and business environments that they currently operate in.

The digitally conducted survey will form the basis of the research that aims to examine the positioning of the governance professional under the governance and risk management processes, as well as the learning programmes and technologies used to transform and facilitate their roles and responsibilities. It will also explore emerging hot topics including the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), as well as technology governance and their influences in driving effective and appropriate risk focuses by the governance professional.

This research will help summarise the impact on the role of the governance professional as a result of the pandemic, how the role has evolved post-pandemic, and how the pandemic may have been a catalyst for the transformation of the governance professional across different jurisdictions. HKCGI with CSIA, and EY invite their members to assist with this research by completing the survey that will take approximately 15 minutes to complete
